For all the negative things you here about teens in the media, we thought it would be awesome to give you two real life examples of teenagers here at McArthur who are living for something more than themselves. Ally Randall is a student who had been in the spotlight. She was popular and had what the world would define as a good life. It seemed like everything was going pretty good. However, around the first of the year God began to deal with her about giving more of her life to Him. She gave up the weekend hangouts with friends and lunch with the normal people she was accustomed to. Ally began spending her lunch hour in the library each day with a new foreign exchange student in her school. She befriended the girl and gave her a children’s bible to help walk her through the story of Jesus. At an Encounter weekend with our youth group, Ally had the privilege of praying with her to receive Christ. Since then Ally has met and invited another exchange student. These two girls’ lives will be changed forever because Ally was willing to give up popularity and status to see someone come to Christ! |
